At Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University (DDIBU), we are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful academic environment for all our students. The Student Grievance Redressal Mechanism ensures that students have access to a transparent and effective system for resolving concerns and complaints related to academic, administrative, or personal matters.

Objective

To provide a fair, confidential, and prompt process for students to voice their grievances and seek redressal in accordance with university policies and the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Scope of Grievances

Students may raise concerns related to:

  • Academic matters (evaluation, attendance, syllabus delivery, faculty behavior)
  • Administrative issues (admission, fee structure, scholarships, hostel facilities)
  • Harassment or discrimination (gender, caste, religion, or other)
  • Infrastructure or services (labs, library, transport, internet, hygiene)
  • Any other matter affecting student welfare or rights
Grievance Redressal Committee

The university has constituted a Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) headed by a senior faculty member and comprising representatives from the academic, administrative, and student community. The committee ensures:

  • Impartial investigation of grievances
  • Timely resolution and feedback
  • Maintenance of confidentiality and student dignity
  • Escalation of unresolved issues to higher authorities, if required
How to Lodge a Grievance

Students can submit grievances through:

  1. Online Grievance Portal
  2. Written Complaint submitted to the Dean, Student Welfare or designated SGRC member
  3. Email Communication to the official grievance cell email ID
  4. Suggestion/Grievance Boxes placed at key campus locations
Ombudsperson

In accordance with UGC regulations, DDIBU also appoints an Ombudsperson who serves as an independent authority for resolving escalated or unresolved grievances. Students may approach the Ombudsperson if they are dissatisfied with the decision of the SGRC.
