At Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University (DDIBU), we strongly believe in nurturing socially responsible, disciplined, and service-oriented citizens. In line with this vision, the university actively promotes student participation in both National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS), two of India’s most impactful youth engagement programs.

National Cadet Corps (NCC)

The NCC Unit at DDIBU is committed to instilling values of leadership, discipline, patriotism, and selfless service among students. Open to both male and female students, the NCC provides a structured environment for developing character and preparing students for future careers in defense and civil services.

Key Objectives:
  • Develop leadership, teamwork, and resilience
  • Foster national unity and social responsibility
  • Train students in basic military and civil defense skills
  • Encourage participation in national integration camps, adventure training, and ceremonial parades
Opportunities for Cadets:
  • NCC ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ certifications
  • Eligibility for reserved positions in defense and paramilitary services
  • Participation in Republic Day and Independence Day camps
  • Adventure activities like trekking, mountaineering, and shooting
National Service Scheme (NSS)

The NSS Unit at DDIBU empowers students to engage in meaningful community service, focusing on holistic development and nation-building. Rooted in the motto “Not Me, But You,” NSS activities foster empathy, volunteerism, and civic responsibility.

Key Activities:
  • Community outreach programs and rural development
  • Health and hygiene awareness campaigns
  • Blood donation drives and environmental protection initiatives
  • Literacy and digital awareness workshops
  • Participation in national and state-level NSS camps
