1. Introduction
Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University (DDIBU), located in the serene town of Sabroom, South Tripura, is India’s first international Buddhist university. Established in 2023, DDIBU is envisioned as a multi-domain, multidisciplinary institution rooted in Buddhist values and committed to academic excellence, peacebuilding, and inclusive development. The university aims to be a beacon of holistic education—where the ancient wisdom of the Dhamma is integrated with modern disciplines to develop ethical leaders, global citizens, and compassionate changemakers.
