Key Functions of the Equal Opportunity Cell

• Monitoring & Guidance: Ensuring non-discrimination on grounds of caste, creed, religion, gender, ability, or socio-economic background
• Support Services: Providing assistance to SC/ST/OBC, minorities, women, and persons with disabilities
• Awareness Campaigns: Organizing workshops, seminars, and training programs on inclusivity, gender sensitivity, and social equity
• Policy Implementation: Assisting in the development and monitoring of university policies related to affirmative action and diversity
• Grievance Redressal: Working in coordination with relevant cells and committees to address concerns of discrimination or harassment

Who Can Approach the EOC?

• Students, faculty, or staff from SC/ST/OBC categories
• Minority communities
• Persons with disabilities (PwD)
• Women and gender minorities
• Any individual facing discrimination or unequal treatment

Activities & Initiatives

• Celebration of important national and international days (e.g., Women’s Day, Constitution Day, Disability Day)
• Capacity-building sessions and life skills training for disadvantaged students
• Liaison with government agencies for scholarships, fellowships, and welfare schemes
• Promoting inclusive curriculum development and teaching practices
